Girls of Paper and Fire is a YA fantasy set in Ikhara, a world split into a three-tiered caste system. The reviews I have read all mention how funny this novella is, and I will always need more funny books in my life, so I can’t wait to pick this up. My favourite of the two was definitely A Gentlemen’s Guide, and when I discovered there was a novella that gives another chance at following Monty and Percy’s lives after The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue, I was sold. I recently read both The Gentlemen’s Guide to Vice and Virtue, and The Lady’s Guide to Petticoats and Piracy by Mackenzi Lee, and enjoyed both. The first book that had to be on this list: Mackenzi Lee’s The Gentleman’s Guide To Getting Lucky As I already have a rather extensive reading list for 2019, I thought it would be a good idea to write about the LGBT+ books I want to read (in case I forget about some in the light of my very ambitious reading target this year.) While I do consider myself to have read a fair amount of LGBT+ reads, I’m also aware that there are so many more out there that I haven’t had the chance to pick up yet.
